10 Sep SHOTWELL in ‘MAN DOWN’
It’s unusual that a six year old books two feature film in one year yet Charlie Shotwell does it again. However when I was working with him on the callback material he was able to bring such subtle emotions and nuanced truthfulness to the role I wasn’t surprised when he called me to tell me the wonderful news. So off to New Orleans to play Shia LaBeouf’s son in the new feature film Man Down. This is on the heels of just returning from filming Captain Fantastic playing Viggo Mortensen’s son. Even at six, Charlie is prepared fully for every coaching and has learned to take adjustments like a pro. And of course, is a delight to be around.
Charlie’s big brother Henry Shotwell, who I also teach and private coach can be seen in the Reece Witherspoon‘s film Wild. Charlie watched his big brother love to learn acting. Along side his other older brother, Jimmy Shotwell, who is also a working actor. Talented family!!
